On Sunday (four days ago) I was unable to log into my Twitter account. After doing a few things, I discovered that someone has hacked my account. And this person has the balls to 1) Change my avatar 2) Change my background and 3) Has been posting sales pitches on my account.
I have summited over 50 emails to Twitters customer service (which has been any but customer service) trying to get my account corrected. To date they have yet to respond. I even took the liberty of finding Twitter’s Corporate phone numbers. SURPRISE, SURPRISE… an automated answering service answers with three choices to leave a message. First choice was to leave a message for law enforcement press 1, second coice was to leave a message for communications dept press 2, and the third choice was to leave a message for staffing dept press 3. Then it continues to say if you need help with your account please visit help.twitter.com or send an email to help@twitter.com.
I have even left messages at all three choices hoping someone could frickin’ wake up their lovely service department. Still Nothing….
… And I will not go into what were all the other things I’ve tried to get in touch with someone in that company. I wish I lived in California so I could go pay a visit to the company.
All I have to suggest to everyone is….
- If you have your own website, product or service… no matter how big your company may or may not be… do your best to have a great, prompt customer service department.
- Pray for a miracle for Twitter to actually help you
- Be very careful to which “twitter” ad on service (like Tweetlater.com, peoplebrowsr.com, etc) that you supply your log on information to. I would hate to see this nightmare happen to you.
If you do end up needing to get into contact with Twitter’s Customer Service for any reason – I wish you better luck than what I have had.
Until Next Time, Take Care
8 Days & 90 Plus emails to Twitter - And They STILL Haven't Corrected My Hacked Account Issues!

And could you please share that phone number? I think many of us would like to dial up our frustrations on that group…seriously lacking in basic business practices for a software group.
The number is (415) 896-2008.
Option #1: Law enforcement.
Option #2: Communications.
Option #3: Staffing.
All go to voicemail. There’s no way to get to a person that I can see.
Good Luck Actually Getting a hold of someone!
when running a business, the first thing you should do is always establish a good customer service-~~
Hehe, this is so true. I have been having issues with one of my accounts where I can’t login and I get an error message. Have sent twitter multiple e-mails and messages to twitter’s support staff and nothing happens. It’s been over a week now I can’t log in to my account.
Twitter is a site with many glitches and NO customer service. This website is all about who’s verified. For instance, if you are a celebrity or some big personality they will pay attention and prioritize your concerns. The rest of the world doesn’t count to them or they simply don’t care. It’s all about politics with that site.
customer service should be put first with any kind of business;’-
I am very thankful to this topic because it really gives useful information
